Core Material

The core of the plywood is made up of multiple layers of poplar veneers bonded together using a high-quality adhesive. Poplar is a fast-growing hardwood known for its lightweight and durable characteristics, making it ideal for a variety of applications. The layers are cross-banded (each layer is placed at a right angle to the one below it) to enhance strength and stability while reducing the likelihood of warping or cracking. This construction provides superior dimensional stability and resistance to expansion or contraction, even with changes in temperature and humidity.

Face & Back Layers

The face and back layers are also made from poplar veneers, which are smooth and uniform, ensuring a high-quality finish for applications such as lamination, painting, or veneering. These layers provide a clean surface free from defects like knots or cracks, which is essential for achieving high-quality end products.

Adhesive

The veneers are bonded using high-performance adhesives. Commonly used adhesives include E0, E1, or MR (Moisture Resistant), ensuring the plywood meets environmental standards and can be used in various indoor or semi-exterior applications. Depending on customer requirements, WBP (Water Boil Proof) adhesives can also be used for plywood intended for outdoor or more moisture-exposed environments.

Structure

The multiple layers (typically 5 to 7 layers depending on the thickness) provide balanced strength along the length and width of the panel, making it resistant to bending and warping. The layer arrangement also contributes to the plywood's overall stability, ensuring it maintains its shape even under varying conditions.
