What is LVL?
Laminated Veneer Lumber, commonly abbreviated as LVL, is a type of wood product made from original logs by rotary cutting or planing to produce veneers. It is then dried, glued, and assembled in a mostly parallel grain direction or with a predominantly parallel grain direction, and then heat-pressed to form a board with structural features that are not found in sawn lumber: high strength, great flexibility, good stability, accurate specifications, and a 3-fold increase in strength and flexibility compared to sawn lumber. This product has the advantages of high environmental protection, waterproof, fireproof, anti-corrosion, anti-insect, and no fumigation required.
