F17 is a stress grade of the structural plywood. If plywood is called F17 grade, it has to pass certain tests according to AS 6669 or AS/NZS 2269 standards. Both standards are structural. What does structural mean? It means the plywood can bear heavy loads and can last a long time in the building structure.

The F17 formply is a major wood material used by formwork companies. It provides support to the concrete. It is ideal for general formwork such as decks, pre-cast, and tilt-up panel construction.

Film Types

Formply can use different coatings or films however the most common film is paper impregnated with phenolic adhesive (A-bond). During the manufacturing process, the adhesive cure on the panel surface to produce the typical plastic film seen on most formply. It is usually black in color for the Australia market.

Use Formply With Care

It is important for users to store and protect the formply well. Each pallet must be placed on balanced support. If the formply is used outdoor, there should be a cover for sunshine and rain.

It is good practice to oil each panel before put in place. And clean the phenolic film face after each use.
