What is Resin Fined Plywood?
Resin Faced Plywood (RFP), also known as Film Faced Plywood or Phenolic Film Faced Plywood (WBP), is an engineered wood panel specifically designed for extreme durability and repeated use. It features a premium plywood core bonded under high pressure and temperature with specially treated phenolic or melamine-impregnated resin films on both faces and often the edges. This creates an exceptionally hard, smooth, water-resistant, and chemical-resistant surface.

1. Core Material:
Poplar Core: Lightweight, cost-effective, good for general formwork and moderate reuses.
Combi Core (Poplar + Hardwood): Enhanced strength and screw-holding, ideal for heavy-duty formwork and flooring.
Full Hardwood Core (Eucalyptus, Birch, etc.): Maximum strength, stiffness, and reusability for the most demanding applications. Highest quality.
2. Film Type:
Standard Phenolic Film: Excellent all-round performance.
High Wear Resistance (HWR) Film: For projects requiring maximum reuse cycles and abrasion resistance.
UV Resistant Film: Enhanced protection against sunlight degradation for prolonged exterior exposure.
3. Glue: Premium WBP (Phenolic) Glue conforming to international standards (EN 314-2 Class 3, BS 1088).
4. Formaldehyde Emission: E0, E1, or CARB Phase 2 compliant options available.
Structure
Combi veneers are arranged crosswise based on their mechanical properties, ensuring optimal performance. Hot melt wire connections are employed to prevent excessive gaps, guaranteeing exceptional hardness and stability.
