Grades of Film
Shuttering Plywood is usually overlaid by film . The film is a piece of good paper impregnated resins (usually phenolic resins) . The impregnated resin content in the paper is one of important factors which determine the quality of film .
The film of Chinese brands can be classified into three quality grades: economical grade, ordinary grade, and high grade.
- The economical film is affordable and offers passable quality. However, manufacturers often opt for the ordinary grade brown film due to its better balance between cost and performance.
- For shuttering purposes, the quality of ordinary film is more than adequate. Moreover, it is approximately 15% cheaper than the high-grade Chinese brown film, making it a cost-effective choice.
- The high-grade Chinese brown film is comparable in quality to some imported varieties. Currently, it is either slightly cheaper or nearly on par price-wise with certain imported brown films, offering a competitive alternative to foreign brands.
