Baltic Birch, also known as 'Russian Birch', is multi-ply product, having more plies (or layers) than standard domestic plywood. It is a plywood that is light in color with excellent strength and stability due to core made out of single piece Birch veneers. The thick face veneer allows a lot of sanding without going through the top veneer.
