Description
Manufactured using a high-density overlay (HDO) of phenolic resin impregnated paper bonded to plywood, Formply is an ideal product for concrete formwork. Due to its A bond glue line, Formply can also be utilised in interior and exterior non-structural applications.

Structural rating: F11 - F22
Glue bond: A bond (Exterior)
Structural Applications: Concrete form-work, bridge building and any application requiring a known structural rating.
Non-Structural Applications: Multi purpose use, still utilising an exterior glue line including cabinetry and joinery.
F17 Stress Grade
The structural formply is generally sold as a graded product. F17 is the stress grade of plywood. Besides F17, there are also F14, F8, F11, F14, F22, F27 stress grade. AS 6669 is a standard for formwork plywood in Australia only. Formply sheets are 17.5mm thick , plus 12mm and 25mm are now also available in 1800 X 1200mm and 2400 X 1200mm sheets.
Bond Types
Most products F17 formply on the market use type A bond with E0 formaldehyde emission. The type A bond is phenolic glue and it makes sure the veneers are glued permanently.
Film Types
Formply can use different coatings or films however the most common film is paper impregnated with phenolic adhesive (A-bond).
