Film-faced plywood is a specialized type of plywood that features a wear-resistant and waterproof film coating on both sides. This film is designed to protect the wood from adverse environmental conditions, thereby extending the plywood's service life. The term "phenolic plywood" originates from the process of soaking both sides of the plywood in phenolic resin, which creates a durable, water-resistant, smooth, and stable surface.

Film/Film (F/F)

Smooth, two-sided, multi-color variant. F/F (originally for concrete forming) is used where moisture resistance, strength, and abrasion resistance are needed.

FILM/WIRE (F/W)

A wire mesh surface on one side and a smooth reverse. It shares the strength and moisture resistance of F/F film-faced plywood, with the added benefit of non-slip capability.
